Useful answers before something becomes a problem.

The builder is designed to make the technical choices quietly. These are the details people usually want to know anyway.

Creating a book

How many photos can I upload?+

A project can accept up to 500 photos. For a first test, 20–80 mixed portrait and landscape images gives the layout engine enough material to show its range.

Which formats work?+

JPEG, PNG and iPhone HEIC/HEIF are part of the primary path. Other modern or RAW formats remain decoder-dependent and should be treated as best-effort until they are explicitly listed as supported.

Can an upload resume?+

Large uploads use a resumable path when available. If that path fails, the uploader can fall back to a signed direct upload rather than losing the whole batch.

Layout & quality

Why does a photo crop?+

Printed frames use a cover fit. The image keeps its shape and an edge may be cropped to fill the slot. Photos start centered and you can drag the crop when you want a different focus.

What happens to a low-resolution photo?+

The preview first tries a better layout automatically. We prefer a smaller print area over enlarging a weak file into a hero frame. If the source is still limited after optimization, we tell you before checkout.

What does Enhance do?+

Enhance creates a larger, carefully sharpened render derivative. It can reduce visible pixelation, but it does not change the native quality rating or claim to recover detail that was never in the source.

Can I change the automatic layout?+

Yes. You can swap layouts, move or replace photos, recenter a crop, rotate images, change visual style and choose another cover. Autosave keeps changes current.

Ordering

Do I pay before seeing the book?+

No. You review the album and pass the print check first. Checkout happens only after you approve the version you want.

What happens after payment?+

The approved version is frozen, rendered again from original assets, preflighted, then submitted to production. The confirmation page shows the order lifecycle and tracking when available.

Can I change a paid book?+

A paid order is frozen to protect the exact version you approved. Contact support immediately if you made a mistake; changes are only possible before production begins.

What if the book arrives damaged?+

Keep the packaging and take clear photos of the damage. Contact support with the order number so the production issue can be reviewed for a replacement or other remedy.

Privacy & saving

Are my photos public?+

No. Originals are intended to remain in private storage and are served through temporary signed links when the app needs to preview or render them.

Can I return later?+

Yes. You can email yourself a private return link without creating a traditional password account.

Are my photos used to train AI?+

No. Customer photos are used to build, preview, render and fulfill the requested album, not to train general AI models.
